Aunt Lou's Trip to Georgia!!

Last week we were lucky enough to have Aunt Lou come visit us here in GA for a while. She happened to come at the start of Tiger's potty training adventures and she was such a HUGE help to us all! Tiger and Eli both LOVED having her here (Tiger even called me Aunt Lou once after she left) and of course Aaron and I did too.

Spontaneous Dance Party!

Looking through these pictures in iphoto reminds me of those books I loved when I was little where I could flip the pages really fast and it looked like the characters were in motion. Often times my spunky Tiger will just spontaneously break into an awesome dance throughout the day. The day these pictures were taken I just happened to have my camera on hand to capture some of the action. As fun as these pictures look I can guarantee it was way cooler in person. I just love, love, LOVE being able to watch Tiger grow every second of the day into the joyful, hilarious, intense, tender-hearted, brilliant and amazingly talented dancing little guy that he is becoming.






And now I have to brag on my sweet Eli boy. He can't really be 3 months already, right? No, that can't be right. Oh, but I am afraid it is. I look at him and how quickly time is going and want to just press pause on it all but at the same time it is so exciting to see him change every day and wonder who he is going to become. He loves to smile and talk (with a lot of conviction, I might add) and two days ago Aunt Lou got him laughing really hard for the first time. He is becoming more laid back every day and really loves being held in a position where he can make and hold eye contact for long periods of time. His stares are not as intense as his big brother's were at his age but I can just tell he is really thinking and learning. If he is lying on his back he works really, really hard to try and sit up. It almost looks like he's doing crunches. He just started sitting up in his bebepod (bumbo seat) and swatting at the toy yesterday. One of his favorite past times is watching his big brother and following him with his eyes as he runs around, dances, and plays. Today Eli was just a talkin' and Tiger looked over at him and said "That's so cute!" Tiger really genuinely loves Eli and Eli is really in love with his Tiger too. I do believe I have two of the most precious boys around.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of joining some of our fabulous new Georgia friends at their uncle's lake house in Greensboro, GA. It was a much needed trip outside of the four walls we are used to around here. The Mommas and babies went up on Thursday and the Daddies joined us after work on Friday. We spent the time playing at the pool, playing on the playground, sitting on the back porch looking at the lake, and visiting with our new buddies. Tiger couldn't get enough of the giant, adult size slide. When Aaron came with us to the pool he and Tiger just continually slid down the slide together the entire couple of hours we were there. He is my little daredevil. I am hoping this means he will be my roller coaster rider when the time is right! And Eli enjoyed his time napping in his car seat by the pool with his older friend (by 1 day!) Rex. Mac, Annie, David, and Tiger entertained each other the rest of the time. We had a blast and hope to spend many more summers (and springs, and falls, and winters!) with the Greenes and Justices!

Last week I was picking up toys from the yard after the boys had gone to bed and came across the perfect size little box turtle hanging out by the trash cans. I was tempted to go get Tiger out of bed to show it to him but then after that momentary lapse in my sanity decided it would be better to just put it in an old diaper box in the garage until I could show him the next day. So I picked up the little guy and put him in the box with a piece of lettuce. The next day was Memorial Day so after the festivities of the morning and Tiger had a good nap we brought him out to show him his new friend. He was very excited to see his first live turtle and really admired him from a short distance. His new favorite phrase is "Oh, look at that!" (especially when he has a hold of something he knows he shouldn't...I think he thinks the cute factor of his saying that in his sweet little voice may make a difference) so he just kept saying that and walking around looking at it. Then we decided to release the little guy back into the wild that is the backyard by our trash cans and Tiger walked around calling "Oh, turtle!" for a few minutes after that. We haven't seen the turtle since, but are thankful he humored us for a while so Tiger could have that experience.

Tiger and Eli had a blast with Papa Mitch and "Kya" last weekend. I think Papa and Kya had a good time too.

Today Tiger found his first caterpillar and was very, very excited to say the least. He carried it around the back yard on this stick for a good while. The only thing that got him to put it down was the mention of hummus for lunch and then his appetite overcame his excitement. He made sure to say "Bye, bye ca-pillar" like a gentlemen before we went inside. Now if we can just find a shock collar small enough to keep the caterpillar from roaming outside the boundaries of the yard.
