Just another manic Sunday.

Most of these are pictures from this past Sunday...

Tiger demonstrating the concept of "riding" the bus.

It's not easy for him, but he manages to scoot around quite well. I think going pants-less makes him more aerodynamic.

This is how Daddy likes to carry sweet Eli to bed.

Doing our best to get the obligatory matching shirt picture before church...

But this kept happening.

Tiger was not happy that I paused "The Cricket on the Hearth" (yes, it is a very old Christmas movie and it is August) to take this picture.

Still mad about the cricket.

Eli's sad!

Now Daddy's sad!

Ahhh, much better.

Tool Time.

This morning while Eli was taking his morning nap Tiger and I busted out his tool set that his Aunt Anna bought for him a while back. Being the hard worker that he is he wasted no time getting down to business...

"Screwdriver, Momma!"

He and I came to the agreement that it's better to hammer and screwdrive a diaper box instead of the car, driveway, dog, etc...

Grump on a tricycle.

Cuteness.

So pensive...

Feeling very manly.

Sweet cheeks.

"Hanger, Momma!" (What he calls a hammer)

Preparing for a drive.

Off to work!

Brotherly love.

Here are some pictures I took of the little guys yesterday and today:

I was sad that I accidentally cut Tiger out of this one but it's so cute of Eli!

Tiger's mouth is forming the word "Cheese!"

Sporting the pajamas Mrs. Rebekah and family gave him.

Don't pretend you've never ridden a stuffed tiger in your underwear.

Baby blue eyes.

Soooooo sweet.

Tiger really wanted to hold Eli...but after about a minute, this happened:

Poor baby E!

Pee pee robot?

It has been a gross, pitiful weekend around here. Lots of snorting, snotting, hacking, and spitting. Tiger came down with a fever of 102 yesterday and was shivering with goose bumps. He wanted to go to bed super early, which was very sad. Eli has been suffering with a little cold for a while. And I have a nasty, nasty sinus infection that just keeps hanging on. Thankfully Tiger took a turn for the better today and desperately needed a hair cut so he and Daddy took a trip to have that done. He came back looking like this:

He couldn't be cuter if he tried. He has been extra snuggly this weekend since he hasn't felt well. Earlier I caught him and Daddy like this:

And I couldn't post this time without including pictures of my sweet Eli. He and Tiger have started bathing together which is SO much fun to watch. Tiger will lie down in the tub and Eli leans over his little seat to grab him. Sweet boys!

My sweet baby.

So excited!

Laid back in his bath seat:

And you're probably wondering what on Earth is this pee pee robot you speak of? Well, the pee pee robot came about by necessity. Tiger sometimes goes through very quick phases and the past few days he has been clowning around instead of peeing on the potty. Often once he realizes he really needs to go it's too late. So yesterday while Daddy was trying to get him to sit on the potty and Tiger was running around he suddenly transformed into the pee pee robot. This robot is very serious about getting down to potty business and carries Tiger to the bathroom to set him on the potty. PPR then watches intently while Tiger potties and then very mechanically carries him to the couch where he is dropped off. Tiger loves it and it has been quite effective. Here is pee pee robot in action:

I'm not gonna lie...pee pee robot has a bit of a creep factor to him but if it works-I say don't knock it 'til you try it. Robots have always kind of weirded me out anyway.

Well, that's what's been going on this weekend. I am really hoping I will get over this plague that I am suffering from soon. I seem to have gotten the worst of it which is preferable to it being one of the babes. The hypochondriac in me is working over time though...I am still trying to convince myself I didn't catch TB at the Dr.'s office last week. Serenity now!

"Feef, Jesus, Thief!"

Tiger with his "Feef, Jesus, thief" picture.

With his Bible (and glistening runny nose-poor guy!).

Every night as part of his bedtime routine, Aaron or I read a story out of Tiger's children's Bible to him and Eli. He loves the colorful pictures and really listens intently as we're reading. For a while he would flip to the picture of Jesus on the cross with the two crosses beside him and would ask "What's that?" After one time of Aaron pointing to the crosses and saying "Thief, Jesus, thief" Tiger now says that every time he flips to that picture. Well, sort of anyway. He actually says "Feef, Jesus, thief" which is even cuter. It's like he forgets how to say "thief" at first but after thinking for a split second he says it correctly the second time. Through sweet moments like this he and Eli remind us everyday of God's grace in our lives by the gift He's given to us in our precious children but more importantly the gift of His own son. Thank you, Lord for pouring out your blessings on us.

This has nothing to do with this post...it was just too cute to not put on here!

Eli's growin'!

Tomorrow Eli will be 5 months old. That is a month away from half a year! How did this happen? He is growing like a sweet little weed. It seems like every day he is doing something new. His favorite past time is still watching Tiger do whatever it is he is doing. He can now hold his whole upper body off of the ground if he's on his tummy. He gets his knees under him and scoots around a little bit (mostly backwards). I've spent a lot of the past week making baby food for him. He is really such a good eater! He gladly eats every bite of food he is offered. So far he has had sweet potatoes, pears, and a taste of peaches. He is eating a big bowl of rice cereal for dinner and his fruits/veggies in the morning. He still nurses five times a day which will continue until he's 1. If you notice in the pictures posted below, Eli has already started fruits and veggies at 4 (almost 5) months and Tiger didn't start until the day he turned 6 months. I was very much by the book with Tiger but I've been a bit more relaxed with Eli. I wouldn't say I've thrown the metaphorical book out the window, I'd say I've just rested it on a nearby shelf where I can still abide by it if needed. Poor guy has had a bit of a hard time with teething for the past week. When I looked today one of his little bottom teeth was just about all the way through his gums. Hopefully they will both make an appearance soon and give him some relief. He has the sweetest little disposition and is a very happy guy most of the time. He is pretty much on a schedule now-which as you know, makes me a happy Momma. He and Tiger pretty consistently nap at the same time each afternoon (Hallelujah!). Aaron and I have always been able to tell when he is tired because he gives us a very clear sign of screaming in our face. He spent his first time in the church nursery this morning and was fabulous. I am pretty sure he was held by someone the whole time (I mean, can you blame them?) and when we picked him up he was fast asleep. Aaron and I have given him the nickname "Easy E" because he is just such an easy baby. Tiger continues to adore him and be the sweetest, most caring big brother. Sometimes when Eli cries Tiger will sweetly say "Oh, Easy!" And randomly throughout the day Tiger will say "Hold Eli!" and we will sit him down in a chair and prop Eli on his lap. He will hold his baby brother and just talk and talk, kiss him, and pat him. What a love. I just can't believe how quickly our Eli's first year is flying by! He is such a joy!

Daddy and "Easy E."

Happy boy!

Eli after his first bowl of real food (sweet potatoes) at 4 (almost 5) months old.

Tiger after his first bowl of real food (peas) when he was 6 months old. He was such a clean eater we actually had to smear peas on his mouth for effect for this picture.
