Let's pretend it's 2010 for a minute.

So...it's been a while! Almost every day I've thought "Hmm, I should do a new blog" but then get side tracked by a diaper change or breaking up a baby fight over the train set and another day is gone. For the sake of this entry let's pretend it's only a week or so after Thanksgiving and not actually almost February, okay?

This year we decided to do something totally out of the ordinary for us for the week of Thanksgiving. We went to Disneyworld! We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge-which was amazing-and Aaron and I had a deluxe dining plan package (the boys didn't need one since they were under 3) which was equally awesome. We planned ahead for lunch/dinner reservations as best we could and then just went for it and enjoyed ourselves. Think we're nuts for bringing a 2 year old and 8 month old to Disneyworld? Naaa-It really was a blast. Tiger and Eli rode almost every ride with us and Tiger even rode his first roller coaster! For some reason when I upload pictures on this thing they upload in backwards order. So here are some pictures from our trip starting at the end:

Thanksgiving dinner at the Flying Fish. I love Tiger's face in this one! One of the highlights of this meal was when Aaron accidentally referred to a gentlemen working at the restaurant as "Norway" because that was the country represented on his tag. He said "Thanks, Norway!" Ahahaha-the guy looked so confused.






Tiger's favorite place to hang in the lobby of the hotel was in front of this rock. He would always ask "What's that say?" and Aaron would tell him "Do not climb on rocks." Then Tiger would do his best to repeat him and say "Do not say climb on rocks."






One night we went to bed and the next morning this humongous tree was all set up in the lobby. Impressive.

Aaron had run to get fast passes for "Soarin'" for us while the boys and I met the characters at Epcot's "Character Spot." He made it just in time to take a family picture with the last character in line. Little Eli was conked out the whole time.






Mickey was the first stop in line and boy, was Tiger excited!!! Watching him was precious.






Eli was SO tired by the end of the day! He ended up like this most every night before we made it back to the hotel.

We got a phone call on our room phone one night and before I answered it I was convinced it was the front desk telling us not to let him do that (there are cameras everywhere to protect the animals). It was just a reminder about check out though. But that didn't keep me from telling Aaron that it was the hotel manager saying we were being kicked out because they caught Tiger on camera throwing food at the animals. He believed me for a second.

We caught this parade on two separate occasions while leaving the Magic Kingdom and both times it royally ticked Eli off. He was not a fan, but Tiger was!






We learned quickly that the concept of waiting in a line is hard for a little two year old's mind to comprehend. And we learned that lesson in line for this ride, The Jungle Cruise. Tiger was crying and squirming for the majority of the wait and Aaron and I just had to grin and bear it because we were committed to ride once we got far into the wait. It was one of those cruel-joke-of-a-lines where you think to yourself "Okay, just around this corner we'll get on" just to find around that corner is just another cattle-stall-like holding area. It was intense. We had the same experience waiting at the bus stop for our transportation to the parks. Every time a bus would come Tiger would assume it was for us. Then it would pull up at the waiting area next to us and he would wig out. We started calling Tiger's antics "the bus fuss." It was quite dramatic.






Tiger called Cinderella's Castle "Mickey Mouse's castle." Long after we got home to Georgia he would randomly ask "Go see Mickey Mouse's castle?"

This was at the entrance to Epcot. There was a line for Daisy Duck and Stitch was standing right next to her with no line. It was Tiger's first encounter with a character and he loved it! He kept giving Stitch sweet hugs. My little lover.



Alright, so at this rate maybe I can psyche myself up to post about Christmas by some time this summer!
